Child rates are very affordable and members only pay R320 for their first child and R60 for each additional child on ALL plans! Benefits in regards to basic dentistry are very generous, with cover of R25 000 per beneficiary p.a. (covered from risk; not savings).

Members are not forced to go to network hospitals, or to make use of network medical practitioners. Genesis members have the luxury to choose their own hospital and their own doctor.

Benefits options within Genesis Medical Scheme
Private Choice, is a benefit option that provides members with statutory cover, unlimited hospitalisation at any provider of choice (cover at 100% of Scale of Benefits) and a dental benefit of R25 000 per person p.a.
Private, is a benefit option that provides members with statutory cover, unlimited hospitalisation at any provider of choice (cover up to 200% of Scale of Benefits) and major medical illness cover of up to R550 000 p.a. and a dental benefit of R25 000 per person p.a.
Private Plus, is a benefit option that provides members with statutory cover, unlimited hospitalisation at any provider of choice (cover up to 200% of Scale of Benefits), major medical illness cover of up to R550 000 p.a., a dental benefit of R25 000 per person p.a. and a medical savings account of R2 580 per adult p.a.
Private Comprehensive, is a benefit option that provides members with statutory cover, unlimited hospitalisation at any provider of choice (cover up to 200% of Scale of Benefits), major medical illness cover of up to R550 000 p.a., a dental benefit of R25 000 per person p.a., a medical savings account of R5 100 per adult p.a., a consultation benefit of 6 x R250 = R1 500 per adult p.a. and a medication benefit of R2 280 per adult p.a.
